KAIST 산학협력단은 대학 중심으로 국내외 우수인력과 기업이 모여 산업체 수요 중심의 R&D를 수행하고 신산업 창출에 기여하는 혁신적인 산학협력 모델 구현하고자 “글로벌 산학협력 연구센터(이하 GCORE)” 조직을 신규로 설치하였습니다.

GCORE에서는 ①글로벌 우수인재(Post-Doc 등)를 유치, ②KAIST 연구인력 및 인프라를 활용하여 ③혁신 기업(파트너 기업)의 기술 개발 수요를 해결하는 ‘GCORE 개방형 매칭 플랫폼’ 구축하고자 합니다. 글로벌 우수 인재에게 현장기업의 R&D 수행을 직접 경험 및 기업 문제를 주도적으로 해결토록 하여 연구 역량 축적의 기회를 제공하고자 합니다. 다음과 같이 ｢GCORE 연구사업｣ 시행계획을 공고하오니 교수님들의 많은 관심과 지원 바랍니다.

1) 외국인 박사학위 소지자로 학위를 받은 후 5년 이내인 자

2) 해외 대학 박사학위 소지자로 학위를 받은 후 5년 이내인 자

라. 지원내용

- 지원금 : 1억원 내외/년(최대2년간)

- 지원금 내역 : 1)글로벌우수인재 인건비 : 0.5억 내외/년

2)GCORE소속 Lab연구비 : 0.35억 내외/년

              1. Following the establishment of the Global Center for Open Research (GCORE)

                  with Enterprise designed to realize an innovative industry-university cooperation model,

                  the Office of University-Industry Cooperation announces a call for proposal for the

                  tentatively titled GCORE research projects as described below to develop technologies

                  to meet demands from industry.

               2. We are looking forward to receiving numerous proposals from interested faculty

                  members from relevant academic departments.

               a. Program title : The GCORE Research Projects (tentative name)

               b. Eligibility : Full-time faculty from the academic departments which have a plan to

                                utilize the "international outstanding talent" 

                             *Encouraged to apply with partner companies

               c. Eligibility of the "international outstanding talent"

                  -Foreign PhD holders who have obtained PhD within the past five years

                 - Korean nationals who have obtained PhD from universities abroad within

                   the past five years

               d. Research fund

               - Amount of fund: Around KRW 100 million/per year
